I think I recall having to run the cd however,, in any case it has just come to mind to have a spare voice around, I thought it was Devona who wanted the repair, I mention the voice since once when I was without jaws for a little while and a friend some hundred of miles away trying to talk me through on phone the weather was vile and lines failing ,and narrator not much good, and friend suddenly at his end fished up a voice that was louder and helped us over until jaws was in safely . I think he said it was access it was over 2 years ago, just occurred to me in spite of all the talk about alternative screen readers I have not troubled to do this myself but it would be sensible of course. After some digging, I found the information. I went to the Jaws 11 folder where I had downloaded it, and when the install ran i was able to sselect repair. There were some damaged files, I guess, because the update installed just fine after the repair. Maybe it's my imagination, but wasn't it easier to find repair several Jaws incarnations back?
