I'm not CJD, but UAC is user account control and offers protection by
requiring the user who is logged on permission to perform certain tasks that
can only be done with administrative privillages. When a user attempts to
perform such action, a tone will be heard, the desktop dimmed, and you must
respond to the dialogue before further action can be taken. Hope this helps.

Hi CH.B,

Would you please tell me what UAC is and what the letters UAC stand for?
The information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks much, take care.

I use avast pro and spybot seach and destroy, not wanting to use mse. and
yes I agree. It may be a good feature for people to want to keep if they are
just starting out using computers to save them from accidently making some
fatal changes or simply for users that choose to and are ok with it.

with mse you really don't need uac afterall it has everything uac slows down
the computer
