I have recently imported o/e files from my external hard drive back into o/e. So, what you may want to try is to create a new folder in o/e and then import the files from your stored folder into the new folder. Create the folder under local folders so it will have its own level in the tree and not be a sub-folder of another folder. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Vicki Wherry" <amethyst17@xxxxxxx>

Since the folder is 17.2 MB, it's definitely not empty. I'll try this.
Thanks.

Hi Vicki,
If you have closed Outlook Express since you deleted those messages,
or emptied the deleted items folder, chances they are gone for good.
However, you can still check the .dbx file for them.
You can extract the e-mail messages from the .dbx file using a program
called dbxtract.
You can download it from:
www.blind-computing.com
click the e-mail link, and then you will find it under utilities.

I found the location, but now I need a JAWS accessible program to open the
.DBX file. Any suggestions? I looked on several possible websites, and
couldn't find anything. Thanks.

Vicki
