I've got some life-changing medical issues, including heart failure, so my sympathy is quite earnest. Best of luck with your treatment and keeping your spirits up, and of course good luck dealingwith the privacy problem arising from this technical inconvenience. ironically, something that may seem like a wonderful advance incommunication and medical record keeping may not be such a "bag of chips" tosomeone who can't see to read and write or use some gadget. Again, wishing you well. But, depending onthe types of questions, would it be possible to record the answers in someother format (MS Excel perhaps) and then to have a para-medical professionalenter your responses into the system when they are able? HTH, Everett----- Original Message ----- From: "Gene" <gwilson@xxxxxxxx>To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, January 06, 2009 10:14 PM Subject: Cancer SurveyI have been diagnosed with and receiving treatment for esophageal cancer. There is a survey that the treatment center would like me to complete, at least, once a week. The survey appears on a device that seems similar to a laptop. However, in order to answer the questions, there is a touch screen and, of course, the thing doesn't have a screen reader on it. I don't particularly sharing my answers to the medical questions while a sighted individual marks them for me. But, there are several psychologicalquestions that I am not answering because I don't feel comfortable sharingthose thoughts and feelings with anyone: except a qualified para-medical professional.Has anyone who has had a similar experience, cancer notwithstanding, founda means by which to complete surveys of this type without sighted assistance?
