RE: ATI Radeon 7000 Video card

Just a note about my own experience so far with reducing the hardware
acceleration to 20% with the Radeon 7000 series video card. It definitely
solves the problem with JFW reading the screen correctly, but I rebooted my
machine last night and the Radeon control panel reported that the driver had
failed to initialise. In fact the driver was working. The JFW intercept also
needed to be re-established. This to me suggests that as suggested earlier
in this thread some of the Radeon utilities might need to be removed from
the registry for this solution to be allowed to work fully. If anyone has
any detailed instructions on how to search for radeon utilities in the
registry and disable them I would be interested in trying it.

Regards

John Gurd

Thanks John; I hope others who've reported ATI problems will try this
and let us know how it works for them.
