It has always been thus. In fairness to FS, though, they will have had to put a lot of work in to upgrade Jaws. Of course, you could always ditch Windows 7 and revert to XP. Depends what you do with your computer. I have considered downgrading to Win 98 - does all I need, faster. -----Original Message----- From: jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of r.sears1 Sent: 19 September 2011 11:26 To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jaws-uk] windows 7 Hello folks. I upgraded to version 10 of Jaws and have been playing it on my desktop running XP. I have just purchased a laptop with Windows 7 premium and the CD is not compatible. Sight and Sound tell me I have to pay nearly £200 to upgrade to version 12. I think this is a rip-off. I don't need all the things in version 12 but if I want to stay with jaws I have no choice. I will have to get a new screen reader. Freedom Scientific making money all the time I think it is terrible Any response? Cheers Ron. ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
