Keith,
the Windows key + U brings up Narrator. Be warned, it sounds really
horrible.

Iain.

Dear Joan,

What a very good idea to have Narrator come to your rescue. Could you kindly
tell me where you found it. I've had a search, without any success. I
presume you then put a shortcut on your Desktop.

With very best wishes,

Keith

Hi, Keith,

I had a similar problem some months ago after installing automatic updates.
Luckily for me, a sighted friend arrived and saw the message about video
intercept. She downloaded this and I was fine.

The first thing I did was to ask the list how to bring up Narrator, so that
I can maybe manage myself if this occurs again.

Best wishes,

Joan.
