Folks,
Go for HP Procurve switches. Its cheaper than cisco & nortel. Life
Time warranty is available. The IOS/Firmware commands are similar to
cisco, hence pretty easy to configure. Almost all the features are
available in HP when compared to cisco.
PS: Recently we migrated our entire network to HP Switches.

Take the nortel, or one of the cisco catalysts. Expensive but worth it
