This message is displayed on the client during the boot process or in the
response to an explicit mount request. It indicated a problem with accessing
the server. This error can occur due to the combination of incorrct Internet
address and a correct host or node name in the hosts database file supporting
the cleint node.
This error can also occur whenever the hosts database file supporting
the cleint is correctly specifying the server node, but the server node is
extremely overloaded, is temporarily stopped, or has crashed
Solution to this being
If the server node is operational, determine if the server is out of critical
resources viz, for example memory, swap or disk space

hai Luggies,
I have a problem in NFS. There is no problem while configuring the server.
In /etc/exports file I have given all the information of the files which are
to be shared with respective permissions. Then I restarted the NFS and
portmapper services.
While mounting the share in the Client
mount server:/sharename sharenameinclient
it reports an error RPC time out.
Why this error reported ?
Thanks in Advance,
Bathrinath Ra
