1) Reg. Java
You have to download Java SDK for Linux (It comes
bundled with Slackware linux 9.1). For IDE, there is
'Eclipse', but it's slow! Vi/Emacs seems to be a
reasonable choice.
3) Reg. PHP
You have to put your PHP page in you web server's
`document root` directory (which is something like
/var/www/http
and point your browser to
'
http://localhost/mypage.php'
4) Reg. mysql, java scripting
MySQL is always a better choice if you're not going
to deploy heavy servers.
What do you mean by Java scripting? It's the byte
code that is executed.
=====
Windows 2000 is more secure than Linux...
Since the machine is offline half of the time because of crashes, it cannot be
accessed globally, therefore producing higher security.
