[Ilugc] Virtual postfix mailboxes

I am setting up virtual postfix mailboxes for a couple of domains. I am
looking for recommendations on pop servers that will handle the mbox for
users not present in the system (either authenticate against postfix files
or against LDAP) . If anyone has installed something similar, I would like
to hear from them too :)
Dovecot is a very good POP/IMAP server that authenticates smoothly
against LDAP. I've used it on three servers till now (FreeBSD, Gentoo
and Debian) and I haven't found anything to complain about, so far.
Cyrus on the other hand, is not for the faint-hearted; setting it up
correctly can take up a lot of your time :)
Dovecot requires Maildirs however; which I recommend you migrate to anyway.
