I am sorry to say this. But most of your posts nowadays have been
saying "ILUGC Members are people who dont know anything and are here
for the heck of it". Atleast this is what I interpret. Not good.
First take concern of the nearby people's need and then give examples
whether they(RedHat or any other company) are been supporting or not their
needs.When i say people, its not Companies/Organiztions.
Did nt you read on the Arunai LDD and its effects on people. Ask me as
I have personally transformed more than 100 users till date to start
using GNU/Linux as their primary OS. Period. Most of them have turned
into contributors by submitting bug reports and wishlists and now a
small percentage are also trying to submit patches. A big success IMO.
Some of them have been planning to start businness on this base. So
Stop complaining and start making things work, what you feel does not.
I am not saying you are not contributing but asking you to stop
complaining and take initiative in making whatever you feel (webcam
support) work. I would appreciate such things from a developer like
you.
Aren't you an embedded software engineer at Novatium?
You should know this - Never blame the software if
there is no support from the hardware folks.
A request to Shakthi. Dont bring in Companies here.
Shakthi, i do appreciate if you could reply with some respect or better,
dont reply, which best suits for you.
You are not the one to take such decisions. Sorry.
We are just discussing here and
already few people have agreed and discussed their concerns too in a
respectable tone.
Shakthi's post was also adding some points for you to take it up and
start working and not otherwise. I did not feel anything *insulting*
in shakthis post. If you have found it then you have not been exposed
to the *real* flames yet I guess ;-)
Members, i do appreciate if this issue is being taken.I have been
uncomfortable even before with Shakthi's way of handling
replies.Everybodyshould be given respect and taken
back.
Aah. Once again. See issue above. I publicly state that *Shakthi* is
one person who is fiercely advocating FLOSS in both physical as well
as virtual manner. Very few of us have been going to institutions (may
be shuveb, Raman, THiyagu, Bharathi??) and we just cant afford to sit
back at home and happily comment on things. Not good once again.
Kindly take the criticism in a very positive manner and keep
contributing to FOSS as you are now doing. All the very best.
