[Ilugc] BSNL Broadband connection not working in Linux(Debian Sarge)

No, it is not cruft, I am sure. You really need the PPPoE drop down
choice in that menu.

Exactly. When some random bsnl chap came down to my house to give me
my passwd and test the connection, I was not at home; he asked my
sister what OS our comp had. That he asked a question like that is
itself highly laudable, I would say :) When my sister mentioned
Linux, he not only recognized the name, but also said "Oh, in that
case, he may need the following info as well" and proceeded to write
down the ip addrs for the primary and secondary dns severs :)
I suspect it is because a lot of early adopters with BSNL are Linux
savvy folks. I would say it's a good thing overall.
