Cheap hardware. If you just want to use it for a year
or so, go ahead with it.
that's frightening...I had got an Acer 3002NLC two months back...no
probs as of now except for the battery...i blame it on AMD more than
Acer...(well..it was not totally unexpected...i traded it off for the
speed coz i did not expect it to be used too much on battery)...they
had a screwed up ACPI DSDT which filled up my syslogs...but I got that
fixed...
There is one problem...Operations needing disk accesses tend to go a
bit slow at times...but I don't know if that's due to hardware, or my
kernel...like taking a second for an first time ls...could be due to
hardware, power management or even reiserfs....If anyone knows of a
similar situation, do tell me...
Well, as of now, just hoping that Shakthi was wrong... :)
