if you dont need swsusp dont use it
well, I do need it...as a matter of fact, I am starting to forget that
there is something called shutdown...even my ACPI PWR button is bound
to suspend...may be I should try Software Suspend 2 and check if that
was the problem...one thing for sure...may be it is not a culprit, but
it atleast triggers those long delays...because all your cache gets
out on suspend...
definitely setup acpid, then cpufreqd
acpid is set...and yeah...that reminds me of one more problem with
acer...I guess I should tell this for the potential Acer customers
here...the reason i don't use cpufreqd...whenever the cpu frequency
changes and I am in X, there seems to be a temporary freeze...I had
posted in cpufreq regarding this

the first page)...and it turned out that it is probably a motherboard
problem (mine is Acer Aspire 3002NLC, may be other models are better
off)...so I guess Riyaz should keep this in mind...Anyway, I am
doubtful if cpufreq should affect the problem I have...
then laptop_mode (install the laptop_mode_tools package - google for it)
done already...
it moves on...
