Hi all,
So the motto of the Campaign is "Use Open Source Software" rather "Use/Try
Linux" ?. So, our campaign would include M$ if it is opensourced, right?
It was just my suggestion :-). Why I said that was to convince some one to use
open source software we should migrate them gradually. Providing open source
alternatives for their current operating system (mostly Windows), will cut
down their dependance on proprietary applications.
Linux is a big jump for many ordinary users. We can ofcourse distribute Linux
CDs. But as pointed out earlier, they should not end up being coasters.
While the long term objective can be to Use/Try Linux, to make an immediate
large scale impact, promoting open source applications will be useful.
That is my belief, anyway.
best regards,
Ma Sivakumar
