Almost. Use the key that deletes to the left. Primarily, this is the
Backspace key. On some configurations, but probably not on Ralph's,
the Delete key performs the same function (subject to the "PC-style"
option in EasiWriter and a similar option in the OS). On a RISC OS 5
system, the Delete key usually deletes to the right.

Yes, that works as well, but not in all circumstances. Now, you have
selected a piece of text and the break is part of it. Selected text
deletes both using forward delete and backward delete, so the Delete
key always works in this case.
