Hi Austin,

What actions did you take exactly to replicate this transport loading/unloading problem? Did you use a CapacityCost when loading your units? That logic is being rewritten, but I'm sure I can find an old copy of my scripts somewhere. I assume my dropbox copy is still the old one. I'll look into this, but I can't promise it's something wrong with the script as opposed to it not being happy about some of the v10 stuff. Same thing for the conversion bug you found, any reproduction steps you have will speed up me either fixing it or realising I can't fix it yet.

I know you're unhappy that things are changing and have been changing with the game engine, which has lead to bugs and the odd breaking change. But perhaps it might be worth baring a something in mind, regarding breaking changes at least.

This teaching from the Sith seems particularly apt: "Without strife, the victory has no meaning. Without strife, one does not advance. Without strife, there is only stagnation." This means that even if your maps are good, to keep them relevant and current and most importantly, working in a game engine that is under active development, that you will need to fix things from time to time. It is this sacrifice that we make for progress, for better maps and ultimately a better experience for the people who play those maps.

As for the bugs, well, no one likes bugs and memory leaks. They're a fact of software though. I'm sure you've heard of mainstream games written by massive production studios that have to have software patches released to fix their bugs and leaks. And, as you've noticed, even small bits of code like scripts can have bugs in :)

loading units thing fixed if at all possible though otherwise i might
have to take it out completely.

hi,
the fifty cal and burst sounds arent currently set up, so yeah.
for the freeze, i know for a fact it's not my computer cause i've got a
computer built spacificaly for video games, and has  a verry large ram, as
well as a lot of prosessing power as i play a lot of games, with a lot of
sound and what not.
i've never had any problem with any other game freezing like this, so i am
under the conclusion that the game engine cant handle the amount of units
or
something.
i'm not realy sure.
anyway, kind of disapointed tb does this, i honestly think its going to
cramp my style for these maps lol.
anyway, back to aa, so adicted rofl thats the main reason i left working on
tb earlier was due to aa and the massive change to files and that i would
have to spend weeks switching all the file formats over from the old
version.
guess i'll see, i will say that this will probably be discontinued unless i
can figure something out, and since there are so many things stopping me
from making both shadows abound and operation black web i probs won't be on
here much with anything.

hi all,
i've been working on my operation black web maps, and am running in to
a problem.

for some reason, when i make the map everything is fine, all units are
looking good etc.
when i go to play the map, when it's the enemies turn it takes its
turn, but their are long pauses in between moves and sometimes it take
the song playing to end until the enemies turn ends even though it's
not actualy doing anything.
then, i just made my fifth test map, which is based off of a cia type
escape mission where your trapped without any gear and have to make
your way out.
when i ended my turn, the enemy never took theirs, and 20 to 30
minutes later i had to close tb.
i tried remove unsceen and unexplored to see what was giong on, but
half the units would move then pause, then a unit, pause then nothing.
i took out a duck skill on the most common enemy unit as i thought
that could be the proble, it's just a defense skill like defensive
stance or whatever, but nothing knew happend.
so for the time, my knewest map is unplayable which stinks cause its
mor along the lines of the stuff i am planning for this map pack.
can anyone take a look and see if they can find anything?
note their are a ton of items units structures and more, so going
through and looking at them could help.
the first test map is a map more for aircraft and evasion, the second
i haven't tested much but is a jungle asalt.
the third is an island based mission where you have to make your own
aircraft to counter attack the enemies and then find a way to first
make troops then get them across to the enemy island.
the 4th is a strict aircraft mission, currently undefeatable as it was
intended to test the f29 fighting capability against a mass hord of
r33's.
the last one is a mission where your only character is stuck in an
enemy base and has to escape, first by jumping over traps then finding
eq and using it to escape.
this one is cool, or will be if it ever works as you need fuel to use
a car, a bribe to get cars or units on your side to use them and all
the eq is scattered so starting out you'll be limited.
also i notice that even though i have a capacity on vehicles for
carrying units, more than the capacity of units are able to board and
disembark from the craft, is this a scrip bug?
