Some platforms have an annoying confirmation dialog/prompt first, saying that the screen will go black and that a confirmation is necessary or else after X seconds the settings will be reverted.
-1 for that approach!A label or tooltip should be sufficient and less annoying for power users.
but the timeout definitely can be enlarged (I did so r24327).
