- A plane would not work as the first thing they say is it is a newer GPS. Newer GPSs have high sensitivity receivers and work anywhere in a plane. On the Internet I found where the train has a top speed of 186 so it does go fast enough. The problem is a total trip time of 28 hours. But they could drive from the airport, walk a lot, and ride the train. What had happen was figured out after it was thrown down the steps-well you go down under the English Channel.
