We've wrestled with a "standard" naming convention and it is tough with
all the different brands of control systems we use in the organization.
I'm going the route of naming the tag something that makes sense to the
folks who work on the site.
Example for OPC host PINEAW:
Foxboro tag PINEAW\AI01:AIT401.PNT is named;
McInfRawWtrTurb
McCullough Treatment Plant Influent Raw Water Turbidity
Wally Magda
IE&C Spec Sr
Colorado Springs Utilities
PO Box 214
660 W. Monument Creek Rd
USAF Academy, CO 80840
