[foxboro] Mesh Root Switches Required?

Looking over all the DIFFERENT information out there, and talking to =
some Foxboro reps last week, we're still a bit confused. Is there a =
large difference between a Mesh setup with a dedicated Root pair with =
nothing but uplink ports vs. not having dedicated root switches and =
living with the few 1G uplink ports on the normal switches (edge =
switches)? We can easily get by without the need for the root switch 1G =
ports, and because of the layout of our facility, it would cost us a =
significant amount of cabling for each edge pair to touch the roots, and =
if we did NOT make each pair touch the roots, then the extra 1G uplink =
ports would serve us no purpose.=20
Just trying to get a handle on all this. Thanks.
