Hello, Peter.
There are various things that could cause this problem. I will assume that
your embosser is connected to a parallel port. First, I would check to make
certain that the cable connections are on securely. Also, in the case of a
parallel interface, it is best to avoid a cable length greater than four
meters.
The next thing that I would do is to check the lpt port setting to be sure
that it is set to "standard", not "Extended". If you are using speech
synthesis, you will need sighted help for this, since speech won't work when
you are in CMOS setup.
Next, if you haven't already done this, go into Windows settings, Printers, add
new printer, select "Generic" and "text only". Then go into DBT's Global,
Embosser Settings, and choose "Windows Device" as the port, and the generic
text printer that you have just created as the printer type.
Try these things first, and if they don't solve the problem, we can look for
other causes.

Hello my trouble is when I try to emboss a large document say over ten or
twenty braille pages near the end of the documents the embosser starts to split
up the pages. it brailles half a page then stops. When I put it on line again
it brailles another half a page then stops again.
All the pages are brailled correctly except for this problem of it not
completing the entire document. I'm tired of cutting and pasting just to emboss
a few pages!
Please help me!
Peter
