Hi Omar,
to delete automation only, select the track and open the cut dialogue. Uncheck
everything except track automation and then press enter. I think that box
might not show up if there isn't any automation.

I don't know how a snapshot can have been taken if you didn't deliberately take
on. I suppose you could have armed the control and hit snapshot by mistake but
I'm just guessing really.

Just to confirm, are we talking about moving the fader with the value change
keys or with an external controller?

  Hi Dan:

There weren't any controlers in the track. Also, could there be a snapshot if
I didn't do any automation? If so, how do I delete just the automation out of
the track?

  Thanks.

There could be a controller message at the beginning of the track
interfering with the fader. Have a look in the event list.

Another possibility is that a snapshot, or some other kind of automation,
is locking it too. Try selecting the whole track and deleting only the track
automation.

    Hope this helps,
    Dan

      Hi:

I'm not able to change the volume on a midi track with a soft synth
inserted in it. I've assigned the midi channel, and everything seems to be
assigned to its proper destination, but the volume will not change.

      Any ideas?

      Thanks.
