yep, Dancing Dots can get you Sonar 8.53 32- and 64-bit both. you can install both if you like. They're probably the only people who can still get 8.5X.

Howdy Friends, After my xp bit the dust and not worth fixing, couple e-mails from Bill, and see now that I'm going to need to upgrade my caketalking version to 8.8 in order to run on windows 7 which is ok, but pretty sure my win 7 machine is a 64 bit computer so thinking that I may need to buy a new copy of sonar as well, since believe first version in 2009 that i have is a 32 bit. Does anyone know if the version i can currently buy from dancing dots is most current with caketalking 8.8, as hoping to avoid some of the updating and stuff needed to do previously in order to bring sonar 8.0 up to 8.53? Hoping there is a sonar 8.53 64 bit so I will be set. As it is, one crash of my xp machine is going to be possibly expensive and a major hastle configuring caketalking so hoping to find the path of least resistance. at least I already had the win 7 machine or would have just tried to get a "like new" win xp computer. the old caketalking 8.0 worked plenty good for me and was just perfect til the crash, so hoping to get back to that and after only a few days, really missing my recording setup. obviously, at this point will do whatever is required, but looking for least expensive and least hastle as i can since not a computer literate person.... In closing, cant thank those on this list enough for all your help, including Bill and DJX. Hoping to purchase whatever updates necessary today but webpage a little confusing and will probably call office first. As it is, turns out caketalking 8.8 is able to work with jaws 15 and not even on their web page, so not taking any chances of buying anything else til I am sure it will work together. at least believe my focusrite scarlet 2 should work on windows 7. Sincerely, Dave
