What external card is it? Could it be that you have sonar set to use acio
and the card only supports wdm or viseversa?

Hi list.
I've just installed a new external sound card and it's set up fine for my
midi keyboard.
However, any soft synths that I load into sonar 7 producer are still
playing
on the computer's sound card.
So, I'm hearing my Tyros 2 keyboard through the external, but my soft
synths
through the on board card.
Sonar won't let me enable the external sound card even though it
recognizes
it.
Any ideas?
