I wonder if there is some way to get them directly from Jonathan?

Hi,

Unfortunately, FSI no longer distribute those recordings - I checked this
out a couple of years back.

Best wishes.

If you can get hold of the Mosen Tutorials, they'll give it to you from the
keyboard, or, so does Sound forge Power, although the later has both, but
the author is keyboard oriented... You might be able to still get Jonathan
Mosen's tutorial from Freedom scientific. As I said, even though it was
done on 4.5 4.5, that'll get you the basics of working with the Snowbarger
script.

Most of the things you could audition, and with noise reduction toggle
between source and modified to see when you'd got it right, and even listen
to how much you were taking out. I remember there were other things where
you could make your adjustment, say go, then stop and rewind, make another
adjustment and go again. When you'd run through the piece, and once you'd
given it the go ahead to do the whole piece save that take or iteration of
the piece.

I am a new SF user so I don't really have all the basics down. I have been
reading the tutorial and it talks about dragging dropping pointing and
clicking. I'm not sure how to relate this information with keyboard
commands. If you know how to apply non destructive affects, then any help
would be greatly appreciated. If you can't remember then that's okay.

What does he want to do? I"m having to regain my own chops with it as I
haven't used mine since 2003 or so... Lots of relearning. I'm using the
Mosen tutorial done for 4.5, but it covers lots of the basics, and if you
have them down solid, the rest become self-evident.

Since SF 6, there has been non-destructive editing, and the ability to
undo,
and, as you said, keep back ups so you can go back because you listened
to
what you did two weeks ago, and really preferred what you liked 3 weeks
ago.

Don't know if my message got through, but I believe that in sf all
effects
are distuctive, meaning you can't insert one and remove it later, once
you
apply and save you can't go back and remove the plug. I thought that
inserting them in the fx chain would make it more like sonar, but I
don't
think this is the case. That's why before you start work on a project
you
should save the original as a copy so that you can always go back and
edit
the original...

Okay I guess what you're saying is that I should delete and start over.
I
don't have a problem with that. So I am understanding that all the
affects
are destructive since there doesn't seem to be a way to undo what you've
done after closing a project.

Thanks for the response.

Hello:
You probably didn't get a response because nobody knows the answer. I
have
never tried inserting a real time effect in sound forge. Since I mainly
use
sound forge for mastering, I only use plug-ins as destructive effects.

Subject: [ddots-l] Sound forge question

Hey I just purchased sound forge 10 and I have a question. How do I
get back to a plugin after I've inserted it? I inserted a limiter and
now I'm trying to open it again to change the preset, but I can't seem
to figure out how to do that.

In Sonar we have an affects bin. What do we have in Sound Forge that
will allow us to access the plugin once it has been inserted?

Oh and I wanted to let you guys know that I didn't start having this
problem with the VC64 before installing Sound Forge. Another thing I
noticed is that now in my list of audio affects there are all these
affects that came with Sound Forge. Also in sound Forge I can see all
the Sonar affects. Is there some kind of check box in Sonar or Sound
Forge that needs to be checked before I can access the Sound Forge
pluggins in Sonar and Sonar pluggins in Sound forge?
