That's the only thing I can think of, specially if the interface is also usb. Regards, D!J!X! I've seen jaws do some weird stuff when using a donle, and once I had to have fs reset a dongle because years ago syncrosoft messed up the authorization somehow. If the unit is running on USB, it could be that jaws is trying to access the usb driver to check if the machine is a dongle? It does periodic checks for a dongle. I know of someone who was playing with their motif while it was connected to the computer, and after an hour or so, jaws came up with a message that said the computer's date/clock was being altered too much so that jaws would now run in demo mode. The person never even touched the computer! Is this laptop running ILM or dongle authorization? Regards, D!J!X! Hi folks, here goes a challenge, Do you have any idea if jaws, interferes, somehow, with the midi connections between the computer and a connected equipment externally? I ask because it came a very curious phenomenon in this chapter. My friend had many problems in installing the drivers for the GT-10 pedal, guitar processor. After installing the drivers, I managed to connect audio via USB, but there was no way to be able to establish contact with any midi pedal. When you open the window patch program editor always gave error, with messages like error in the configuration of midi ports. Was even thought that would be the midi connection that is in trouble. Came another friend who brought a laptop where are installed such editing programs patches GT-10. What was my astonishment when he called the USB cable and everything was working as it should be! We attribute the problem of failing to establish midi connection with your installation fails or the drive itself. Uninstalled and reinstalled everything, and yet it did not work, but apparently everything was ok. Suddenly we remembered to turn off the Jaws, and, surprisingly, failed to give error opening the editing programs such ... Again was activated Jaws, and, gave same mistake again. Was tested this on another computer with jaws, and the result was repeated, gave the midi ports error and the program did not work! and when I disable Jaws everything works normally. Yet, strangely the program editor application not always work, though not appear that error message all the time! Is also curious that if I open the program with the jaws turn off and then again load jaws the program editor continues to run correctly. Do you have any idea what might be going on? Hmm . my question. Why does jaws have any interference to midi connections ? Thanks in advance, Rui Vilarinho
