  Hi.

I have been able to get digi design based hardware to work. You just need to
download the drivers. Don't install pro tools, otherwise it will conflict with
your drivers. Protools needs the Mbox to run, not the other way around.

  I hope this helops

  Subject: [ddots-l] Help with mbox2

Hi everyone I'm trying to use my mbox2 with Sonar, but I can't seem to get
the mbox to work as a recording device with iether Sonar, goldwave or Audacity.
It simpley isn't showing up as a recording device. I needed sighted help to
enstall it with its own version of pro-tools which by the way isn't accessible
for the blind. The people at the mbox website don't seem to have a clue about
making their software blind friendly. I don't actually need pro-tools, but
apparently the mbox does. Does anyone else have an mbox2, and if so could they
please tell me how to get the thing working. I was told an m-audio soundcard
is the best thing for recording music with Sonar, podcasting and other audio
work I have in the works, but so far I can't get anything to work with it, and
the m-audio people are no help. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks
from Lori Duncan.
