I think you most probably misunderstood what I was trying to do.
The files I'm trying to rename are IE Favorite shortcut lnks. The only thing you can edit is the name or title and so far the only way I've discovered to do that is manually and individually.
I have a folder containing almost 3000 shortcut lnk files and not a list containing 3000 names. Hope that clears up the misunderstanding.
