Well..here's how I'ma thinkin'. Husband is using my old 233..on cable
LOL..it's a bit faster than dialup, but he complains about how slow it is.
My feeling is..give him this one..which he would be quite sassified with..and
buy meself a new one. It's time!
I'm not really up to all this tech stuff..and for what we use ours
for..email..communication, playing with programs..stuff like that..I feel it
would just
be easier, maybe not cheaper but easier to just upgrade me to a new one.
This 733 was very highly rated when it first came out..and I have to say,
it's given me terrific service. Other than a hd that developed bad sectors and
had to be replaced, and of course a video card...it's a gem. (knocking on
wood).
As far as my original query/problem..the Marine screensaver..it seems to run
ok now that I upgraded to XP..I may have..over the years messed up something
that just didn't agree with it in 98SE.
I know that it's probably not that hard to do what you all have
suggested..but..eventually, I'll have to turn this one over to my husband..I'm
getting
tired of hearing him complain.
Thanks for all the help, advice, websites, information..etc. that you all
sent me.
                                            Jackie :)

Crawling around the web checking out that board I would think it may have
joined you in "grandmotherhood" to coin a phrase ?
Although it's over five years old you could still gain a little by finding a
socket 370 CPU but I hardly think it's worth it.
A new mobo and CPU combo from about 2003 or so would be a better approach to
extend the life of your investment.......... and it's fun !
