Got it !
Had to take a break to watch Big Brother 6.......... what a bloodthirsty bunch they have in this game............. MEAN !!!

OK Jackie..... here's what I'd recommend to to get started on getting where you ain't. You gotta find out where you is ?
Included in AOL is a system info app that will check your resources for you. If you right click on the AOL icon near the clock you should have a choice there to check your sytem stuff.. I was running AOL 9.0 when I switched ISP and the last build of that that I loaded run my resources to 98% on boot. It would run a few minutes and then crash the system. AOL tech support advised me that I probably wouldn't be able to run that version because it was a real resource hog. I had to remove it and drop back to an earlier build.
The profile of your machine indicates you are running 10.0 and I doubt that releases any resources over the earlier AOL9.0.
SO,
I suggest you shut down the machine, do a cold boot, and immediately run that AOL sys info app. Give it a few to load........ I was running Win98, 512mb mem, on a 1.1ghz CPU and it took a minute or so to load.
Once loaded the interface is tabbed and you can check any area you desire. One is resources...... percentage of available resources that have been used on boot (since you have done nothing But boot).
Once you have that number you can disable a lot of non-essential stuff (msconfig in Win98...... dunno in XP, but somebody do ???)
Much of the AOL stuff can be disabled, Quicktime, RealNetworks, etc.. Some can be removed completely ?
By disabling some of that stuff you may gain enough in resources to run your screensaver like a well oiled machine.
You have to determine whether you want to run AOL Coach or the Aquarium screensaver, etc.
Again I'd check sys info after a cold boot to give it as fair a chance as possible to measure those resources !
If anything you do draws blood stop everything and come back for help.
Have fun......... <G>
