The latest hoax that I found interesting is the Olympic Torch virus. Supposedly if you receive an email from a friend with "invitation" in the Subject and you open the email, it opens the "Olympic Torch" which then 'burns' up your hard drive. To make it even more convincing, the email warning credits McAfee as having discovered it and says that CNN and Microsoft claim it to 'be the worst and most destructive virus ever.'
