Because most of you are americans anyway I give you a url. There will be the american dictionary. For us uk users we just have to download it from the hw site. Sorry but least if you are from america you will be able to download it with percentage indicators.

Hi I have never had this problem but try a reset with dots 4-5-6.
This will reboot the browser and you will be put through your
preferred english braille code and the preferred reading grade
settings during the process.

I agree. Was just saying that's what they need to do. A mobile
site would be
very helpful for things like phones and notetakers.

I understand what you are saying but think about it. Even if
they don't
have a mobile site they need to make accessable for their
devices.

All Humanware has to do is make a mobile website.

It has issues on the Apex, because the Hw site is made for
computers more
than mobile devices.

I do find it really weird that a bunch of Humanware sites don't
even work
with there own products. They should work on this before even
enhancing the
browser. Gosh.

Actually, you couldn't see anything related to the status; not
the size, how
much was downloaded... Nothing. However, you could see this
when
downloading from other sites... Humanware's site is strange, to
say the
least... It barely works with there notetakers...

Maybe but you were able to see how meny mb got down. With this
bug you
can't. As I said it before it did happen with other sites. Its
nothing
with hw. It is an apex bug. You could try it on the u2 and see
it. Zip
files do show percentages on the hw site.

As I said earlier, when I downloaded upgrade files and
extentions from
hw's web site, there was never a percentage, so I left it for
like 10
minutes, maybe a bit longer, depending on what file it was, and
the
download worked. There are some sites that don't show download
status,
that that is not known to me. File does download though, you
just gotta
wait. Feels like 9 1 1 where you couldn't see the
percentages... I hated
t...

this is 9.31 download bug. Also the 1-2-3 reset instead of
the
soft reset is a known bug to.

Subject: [BNU] Unable to Download Dictionary from Humanware Web
 Site

 Hi all,

Yesterday I pressed reset holding just the reset button and my
dictionary and GPS disappeared. I think my BrailleNote must
have
done a reset holding dots 1-2-3 instead of a soft reset.

Therefore, I tried downloading the Concise Oxford Dictionary
and
Thesaurus from Humanware's web site but am not able to..
During
the download process, the braille display says, "please wait"
and
there are the usual progress beeps, but when I check for
progress
information, the display goes blank until I press the Advance
thumb key. It seems that the BrailleNote is stuck even though
it
makes progress beeps, which mean that the BrailleNote is doing
 something.

I canceled the download, pressed reset, deleted the dictionary
file and tried again, but got the same result.

Why is this happening and how can I fix it? I've never had
problems downloading and reinstalling the dictionary before.

 Thank you.

 Carlos
