When I lost my stepmother, I would have trouble focusing from time to time. My memory was hot. I would walk from one room to the other and wonder when I got to the other room what I was supposed to do. I have a regular meeting I attend, and at that meeting kept a year of silence in recognition of her loss.

I couldn't remember what people said to me five minutes ago. And the weirdest things can set you off, either to weep or to be angry.
