Thank you, Roger. I may be missing some of the choices available in Advanced
Search. I'll definitely keep playing here and see if I can manage this all
better.

Smiling,

If you want to see the fiction books that have just been added to the
collection or any other of the Bookshare categories that have just been
added to the collection then go to the advanced search and arrow down to
categories. Check the category or categories you are interested in and then
search. When the search is completed there is a sort by combo box just
before the results. Use that to select a sort by date added. You will then
have your category displayed by the most recently added books first. A lot
of the publisher quality books will not be included because there is a
tendency for those books to not be categorized, but a presort would leave
those out too. It might be a rather tedious process, but you can get
uncategorized books to be categorized by making a quality report and saying
what category or categories they belong in.

I agree. The new books needs to be split into categories, so one can just
look at what one wants to, not ha ve to plow through a lot of stuff.
I only look at the new books a few days a week, and after a time I qauit
looking, I get tired of seeing things that don't interest me. For those who
want the educational and information things it's wonderful but for me, I
just want to see fiction titles that have been newly released, not have to
just search for something.

I am sorry to say that I am having trouble finding new and interesting books
to read. I have tended to be a user of the New Books List; however because
that list also lists so many professional titles and educational titles
which I am glad to see Book Share providing, I am having difficulty finding
new fiction. Does anyone know of published lists of new and good books for
pleasure reading.

I may not have all the techniques of searching the BookShare collection; but
I am feeling a little as though with publisher inputting to the system, Book
Share itself is losing control over how we can find things. Maybe what we
need is "New Book" catagories instead of that one huge list of everything
which comes in.. I'd like to be able to look for New Mysteries, New
Biographies, New fiction and nonfiction. I feel as though we are getting a
lot of republishing of old titles; and I find it confusing.

Any suggestions or techniques others may find helpful would be extremely
helpful to me.

I just don't know what I am missing in use of Advanced Search. If I use some
of the catagories, I get lists which are in Alpha order without the ability
to move to other letters of the alphabet easily.

I love and appreciate Book Share dearly, but am feeling I will need to weigh
the benefits versus cost if finding material continues to be sodifficult.

Anyhelp offered will be greatly appreciated.

Feeling frustrated,
