[bookshare-discuss] Re: Looking for old lists of new books

As far as I know, you can't just browse the collection
to see what books have been added; you have to look
for specific books. Maybe you can search by copyright
date, but--can you search by date added to the
collection?

You can browse the recent books lists but (1) lately
they haven't been up to date, and (2) with the new
site there seem to me only the last 3 months' worth of
books added.

For some reason, a lot of people seem to save the
books-added lists I send out. I know they like to look
them over because seeing what the new books are they
sometimes find something they hadn't thought of
reading and then they download them. I know that in
preparing my lists I've found some children's books
that I'd never heard of that I've gone and bought for
my granddaughter or, where they are no longer in
print, I've borrowed from the library. There are Young
Adult books that I wish my adult children were young
enough to read so I could read them, too (I know--I
can still read them and I have borrowed a couple of
them from the library. Fortunately, since my
librarians know I proofread for bokshare, they don't
raise eyebrows when I take out a YA or children's
book).

BTW, I saw a promo for a movie that's being made from
the book The Man Who Walked Between the Towers; I
thought some of you who have read the book might be
interested.
