Hi,

Well, I see we have the same tastes in mystery authors. I would also like to see Ellery Queen, Agatha Christie and Edward D. Hoch available. I've found that buying books used is by far the best way to go in this regard. They are cheaper and still scan reasonably well. Carrie Karnos has helped a lot in this regard and I'm sure she would be willing to scan if all else fails, but my general idea would be that at least a few people could be scanning at any given time so books would move faster. That of course is just my thought and is why I suggested a mailing list for further discussion.

I think the classic mysteries will be more popular so maybe that will be focused on first. We'll see what kind of responses I get. Of course you're welcome to get involved in scanning those also. Please let others know about the idea and see what happens. I often think I'm the only one who likes classic mysteries so it would be nice to see how much interest there is.
