This is exactly what I was thinking, too. Since the library up there
obviously knows about the Digital Talking Book that's coming out next year,
they must also know that the Book Port, as presently constituted, will not
play them. This whole thing had me very confused from the outset.

Something sure is strange here.  Perhaps the Pennsylvania library is putting
MP3 files on CF cards and testing the Bookport as a new medium?  If that is
what they are doing, they are sure behind the times.  You would think
someone in the library who is in charge of that sort of thing would also
update their Bookports' firmware.  Sure sounds messed up to me.  And calling
it Beta testing?  Sounds a bit like Rip Van Winkle to me.
