Yes it was just a normal text file so I understand why it moved like it did.
It was good enough though to get me back to the area of the file i needed.
For some strange reason after my batteries died last night the BP didn't
remember my place in the file and when I put newly charged batteries in the
unit today the file started reading from the beginning instead of where I
left off. Thanks for the help it's appriciated.
I normally read audible books or text files converted to mp3 so I didn't
know the movement commands. But lately I've been trying to listen to text
and get used to the double talk.

That's a tricky question. It does, but pages are more relative than accurate
unless the book is a Daisy book that includes page markers, in which case it
will be right on the money.
Go to the settings keypad and look for page number. Press 5. Book port will
say go to page. Enter the digits for the page number, followed by the nuber
key. You will be on that page.
