Thanks dave,

I'll certainly look into that because you can see for us outside of the US,
it's really difficult when these things go wrong.

Hi James and list:

I have had similar problems to what you describe with my headphone
connector. It required two trips to APH (and then to Springer I presume) to
fix it. But it did fix it.

My sense of your issues is that distributors probably can't do repairs. APH
couldn't even tell me what had been done during my repairs, but it has
worked well since the second trip. I wonder if you couldn't have saved some
time (and money?) by dealing directly with APH rather than including yet
another link in a long chain? If I did that from New Zealand, I suspect it
is an option open to a consumer anywhere. Distribution chains only add
another step of bureaucracy and money into the mix which APH itself doesn't
actually encourage, to their credit. Now I'm sure your distributor may have
the best of intentions, but you know, the road to Hell is paved with them,
as a good old country song suggests.

Cheers,
Dave
