Isn't the issue here perhaps that the Book Courier was originally seen and
designed back in 2002 as a successor to the Road Runner, which was simply a
text reader, with the mp3 player being a kind of add-on. These days,
particularly with the increased availability of digital audio online thanks
to podcasting, daisy, Audible and others, there are a lot of people using it
mainly as an mp3 player. So yes, perhaps file transfer speeds do need
looking at. On the other hand, if it was too fast there would be no time to
go and make a cup of tea.
