Fantastic. Seemingly, unlike most people, I actually enjoy listening to my
computer's DecTalk Perfect Paul voice. It's being tied to the chair in front
of the computer that I find most irksome. I've put many hours correcting his
pronunciation and his reading is quite wonderful. I'd just like to be
somewhere else than right here on this chair and so be limited in what I can
do with my hands. Besides the DB player, it would also be great for the TV
too and that would be a very huge plus. The exercise bike, other things ...

Ideas, ideas ... Thanks very much.

Yep, I have a little tiny rectangular matchbox size thingamajig with an
eighth inch plug that has a little curly-q in its short lenghth. It is
called an "A 120s Bluetooth Music Adapter" it is Jabra brand. It is
wireless, & comes with a USB charging cord. It takes it a while to charge,
but once it's charged it will last about 7 hours. I only need to pair my
bluetooth headset to it in order to hear a device that did not have
bluetooth built into it. So for instance, I can plug the little adapter
jack into a bigger adapter jack, and plug that into my old TV that is from
the sixties, that had a big headphone jack on the front of it, like for the
old long curly cord headphones. That way I can listen to it thru my motorola
wireless bluetooth headset which is really comfy and not have to blast the
TV across the room over the sound of the water and pots and pans. It gives
me a little privacy since I live in an apartment. Same with my computer. I
can just pop the adapter right int o the little eighth inch earphone, or
line out jack on the computer, and either leave Jaws reading a long text, or
Kurzweil reading a long brf file, or even mp3's, or Overdrive Media player
reading something.

Lately I've been converting some brf's to text, then sharing them with an
iphone app, like USB Disk Pro, or Evernote, and opening them with whichever
one of those, some can open rar's & zip's, then using the button in the app
to open with another app, in this case, Voice Dream app, which works with
several others like drop box, etc.

Since my phone is bluetooth capable already, I don't need the adapter for
that. I just pair my phone with my motorola headset directly, get the
volume and speed how I want it, lock the screen and walk off to the other
room, or the patio, leaving the phone in a safer place. I've used my adapter
with the library digital player too. Had my phone in my pocket or backpack
waiting for the bus.
Only place I can't headset is in the tub, or the pool. Has to be standard
away from the water there. *grins* there is some superduper waterproof
iphone case with earbud adapters and all, but it is high dollar. I just
have to sing in the pool. Lol, Aud
