Hello TomI have now found an engineering company in the UK who are making a
pair for me from billet as we speak. The company has a good track record as
they make a lot of the drive shafts for Formula 1. They estimate the cost at
about £800+ for the pair ie probably about $1150 US before taxes, currency
charges and carriage (you would not suffer UK VAT sales tax but I don't know
about customs duty at the US end). They are using a stronger material than
original and also making the spacers.If you would like a pair please let me
know. If you are prepared to have them immediately I will ask them to double
up on the present work and get them to firm up on the price as well.For your
interest we removed the other stub axle this morning and it was also twisted.
The last time we checked it was a few weeks ago and it was fine. Since then we
have only done one test day and one short race. RegardsTrevor

I think possibly these were originally made from an axle and reconfigured
andfrom a billet or forging or a long shot will be from an axle that can be
re-profiled.
It would be interesting to find a print or just what or made.

this. A qiuck fix with a used part might get you on the way but it would be
nice to see if there any new parts somewhere, rather than used upparts. If when
you contact Mong and he has a print and the SR2 and SR3 are the same I could
use a print. I'm thinking that these items were machined from unfinished rear
axles (forgings) ..MY stubs are about5" long and the flange is 5.5" + - . If
you run out of steam as above, I might be able to find a custom axlecompany
that have forged blanks to make to order on the east coast here. a one off
might be pricey.....but maybe a few want a spare or two.
