I use Anchorseal. It is a wax solution that you brush on the end of logs. It will keep them from checking and cracking. One tip when buying Anchorseal. get a gallon. It's about $22. A quart is about $12. ----- Original Message ----- From: John Sherrer To: blindwoodworker@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, November 09, 2013 9:10 PM Subject: [blindwoodworker] Drying Logs One more question. I want to put something on the ends of the pine logs that will not stop moisture transfer. Something like paint will stop the moisture. I thought about putting paper bags on each end, that works with turning projects. John Sherrer Check out my novel at: http://americastribulation.com
