I remember using the grand daddy of cooledit. It was called coolwave, and i
used it with jfw 1.0!
I think I might still have it on disk somewhere around here <smile..

I use jaws, no cool edit is not free. someone help me now, isn't adobi the
people who make it now, and if I am correct, it's not called cool edit any
more right? hmmm, so confussed.
but, I did use goldwave, and am still using it for the simple fact that I
have yet to figure out how to use cool edit. I had my friend give the
software to me because I thought I could listen to the music whilst I
recorded, I have yet to figure this out. If I can do this in goldwave, I
havent figured it out.
and to answer you, I am using jaws 6.2
