Hi, Elizabeth. Allison is an intern at Bookshare. From what I understand,
Benetech is able to provide internships for college students from time to
time. Part of Allison's work as an intern is to provide book data for the PQ
books. I know she has other duties, though I don't know much more than you
do. Because of the grant, the Bookshare staff has grown quite a bit. It's a
definite change from the days when Bookshare had just five people on board.
I don't know much at all about the day to day work at Bookshare. I do see
the results though with books even being approved on the weekends! I've
gotten pampered by the steady stream of new books and have almost forgotten
the days when it took a year to get a book approved and when new books were
more rare than rain. Almost, but not quite. (smile)
