The blank lines that Carrie is talking about helps the stripper do its job
properly, so yes, she is referring to the overzealous and needs to be improved
or abolished stripper. *grin* can you tell I don't like the thing?

What?? They're missing? I put all 30 chapter titles on the appropriate pages
by hand on Saturday morning, since the OCR program ignored them. I can't
believe they're missing. Maybe it's that no-blank-line-at-the-top-of-the-page
problem. Anyway, in my new version, there are blank lines at the top of each
page including those pages with chapter titles, and there are page numbers at
the bottom of each page, preceded by a blank line. I'll let you know when I
resubmit the book, and if you would be so kind as to download it again, please
let me know if the chapter titles are in the better improved version of
HPATHBP. If not, I will have a word with Gustavo and the 2 of us will put a
version with chapter titles on the db. Very frustrating!

First, I need to apologize for the garbage in the new Harry Potter book. I
tried to clean it up, but Gustavo said that there were a lot of people
waiting for it, so I quick submitted it so he could approve it. I'm
planning on making the copy pretty and re-submitting it this weekend, so
it'll be better looking.
Second, I got an email from someone in Argentina BEGGING me for a copy of
the book. He swore he wouldn't print it or pass it on to anyone else. Yeah
right! He is clearly well-educated, uses excellent English, but has no
money for the book? Give me a break. Since only members can see my name as
the submitter, a member must have shown him accidentally (or
intentionally?)

As most subscribers are cassual rather than inveterate users, they were
(and probably still are not) aware of the availability.
I believe that either Janice or Gustavo last week mentioed that BookShare
has around 3,000 active user accounts;
given that as a baseline, 260 in a little over a day represents nearly 10%
which is an amazing number to retrieve anything.
