Hi Cait! Yes, do use the report book quality button on the book information page. That's supposed to be the thing to do. Oh, I know how frustrating that is to read a book that is supposed to be excellently rated but isn't. Hopefully, oh so hopefully, the new volunteer manual will change the requirements for proofreading to require a spell check at the very least, which it doesn't now. I sympathize with you completely! I've wanted to read books, taken a look at them, then changed my mind and moved onto something else. I wish all of the unmotivated proofreaders were on this list so they'd know how they torture us by being less than thorough! I am currently reading The Wild Rose of Kilgannon by Kathleen Givens for fun. It's in the collection. It's rated as an excellent scan, but geez, that's far far from the truth!! There are a *ton* of scanner errors in this book! It's so distracting it's difficult reading, whether I try in braille or using speech. Trouble is, now I'm wanting to see how it ends! Anyway, Do I use the report book quality button on the download page for this book and report the problems that way? It's * so* tempting to fix everything as I go, but honestly, if I rescanned everybook I read it'd be in trouble, not to mention far behind in my course work!(grins) I really, really hope that the new volunteer manual address book quality stuff like this as far as submitters and validaters alike goes! Honestly, if the validater had only spell checked the book and done the bare minimum the current manual calls for, then that'd explain all these errors. A case in point why we should read every book from cover to cover. Preaching to the choir, I know!
