Hi, Do you want me to let you resubmit it? I'd hate to take away from your hard work, and yes, that is wierd. I feel bad that I wrote that email now.

hi,
It was the book Julie is working on that I had done in the past.

I was just surprised top lines on every other page are missing.
I read the book through so am wondering if stripper got the page.
no offense taken.

but saw someone say they wished careless proof readers would be on the list. sometimes its a matter of them either being new and learning or other circustances.

I noticed this was submitted 3 years ago when I looked.
I just really want to do a good job and produce quality scans so was trying to figure out what went wrong.

Thanks for writing back.
Have a good weekend.

Laura Ann,

I wasn't really pointing fingers, and I'm sorry if it came across that way. There are lots of reasons why a file or a particular book might turn out the
way it has when it finally gets into the collection. I was just more
wondering how to handle it, and being frustrated that I couldn't just fix it
as I went and then get the better product back into the collection.

Now, I know what to do, and I'm glad I brought it up here, because while I
knew about the book quality issues button on the book's download page, I did
not know I could ask Carrie to stick the book back on step one for me to
validate/proofread and improve.

sometimes it might be that they are new and just learning. sometimes it may
be that something else happens.

or in the case of this book I scanned it and read it through and the
book was entirely there so not sure why a line would be missing. I take a
lot of time with my scans and strive for excellence. I hope my scans are
improving and have improved but I have always
wanted quality work.

I also read through entirely now as a proof reader and know my
validating have improved from my first one but am human and am sure I
miss things.

My point here is that its not just careless validating or scanning or
that someone doesn't care.
it may be they are learning and new to validating or scanning, learning or
that something else might have ruined the scan and validation
after its uploaded.
I don't know.
